Dedicated by Design was born of years of experience in the strength industry and years more specifically working with beginner to elite powerlifters. We found that dedicated people were rarely just ‘born that way’. They were forged, designed. Built by the process’ they put in place.
Here we want to streamline that process. We want to help get those processes in place early, create the framework for you to become your best self. Part of this is steered into the old age argument of motivation vs discipline.

You can be dedicated, but you won’t pursue that unless you’re motivated by a ‘why’, a reason to pursue, to push. To the same degree you can be motivated, but without habits, structures and a plan, this motivation can burn away.
We want to cultivate both with you. Stand beside you and guide that passion, cultivate those habits, provide the plan for you to apply yourself.

How we approach each new client varies based on several factors; experience, goals, training age, lifestyle, training history and so on.
A general theme for our approach is that of ‘emerging strategies’. As opposed to taking a predetermined idea and applying it to the client, we look to find that strategies that we build together. Look for positive trends and responses and build on them.
Too often people apply an expectation, a bias to their approach, we look to do the opposite. We look to build data and experience with our client and use this to guide the tools we apply.

We have years of experience working in elite sports such as football and rugby but predominantly in powerlifting.
With over a decade of experience in strength training and powerlifting. Not only as competitive lifters with world championship titles and national records, but with copious amounts of competitive history.
Our head coach alone has 3 world championship titles, 16 competitions under his belt, has broken British records 14 times, won best lifter at a world championships, all whilst being one of the countries most successful coaches, handling both nationally and internationally, coaching hundreds of lifters over the last 8 years and obtaining multiple qualifications in coaching, a Masters in sport injury rehabilitation, a psychology bachelors and much more.
This experience gives us great insight into the athlete mentality and requirements to better align with our clients, whilst also being able to develop a greater spectrum of understanding to the possibilities of different routes to achieve such accolades or just the next PB!
As for qualifications specifically these include strength and conditioning, masters in injury management, biomechanics, pathologies, bachelors in psychology and so on.
